Justis Huni is rushed to hospital days after win

Australian boxing star Justice Huni has been taken to Brisbane Hospital for treatment of a suspected appendicitis condition, days after a recent bruised fight inside a boxing gym. Hunt took his boxing record to 7-0 by scoring a unanimous decision win in 10 rounds over Kiki Leutele on Friday evening in their heavyweight bout, which went to a stoppage.

The 23-year-old was looking for a signature knockout win but was left nursing yet another arm injury that may sideline him for a while. In addition, Huni has been dealt a second blow to his health, being taken to the hospital after experiencing extreme abdominal pain.

There are now fears that he may need another arm surgery, having severely injured one in his last bout with Paul Gallen. With his ambitious plans of earning a world title shot in 2023, including one next month, now in danger of being reduced to ashes, Hundley has looked slightly deflated since the results. He admitted inside the ring that his arm felt the same way as it did during his bout against Gallen, who famously derailed his Olympic gold-medal bid after a training injury.
